Course Description / 講義の概要
While seeking to understand human mind and language, primarily from the perspectives of psycholinguistics andcognitive psychology, this seminar also strongly emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills. To thataim, the seminar's main activity is the critical evaluation of related TED Talks, through discussion and thepreparation of reaction reports.
主に認知心理学と言語心理学の視点から人の心と言語を理解しようとしながら、このゼミは批判的な思考能力を養うことを強調する。従って、このゼミの主な学問活動は、論じて反応論文を書くことにより、関連するTED Talksを批判的に評価することである。
Aspiration / ゼミの「志」
To develop critical thinking skills by:- Learning to ask intelligent questions, objectively defining problems and examine available evidence- Learning to assess the possible underlying assumptions and biases in the arguments of others- Learning to consider alternative explanations and tolerate uncertainty- Learning, most importantly, to maintain a sense of skepticism while remaining open minded
以下のことによって、批判的な思考能力を養う。
- 妥当な質問を聞いたり、問題を客観的に定義したり、利用できる証拠を考察したりすることを学ぶ
- 他人の理論に内在する前提やバイアスを精査することを学ぶ
- 代替説明を考慮し、不確実性を容認するように学ぶ
- より重要なことだが、新しい思想に耳を傾けながら、懐疑感を維持するように学ぶPrerequisite/ 事前履修科目等
