English & Japanese Curriculum
The School of Global Studies (SGS) is a small liberal arts faculty founded in 2007. The campus is located in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, about 40 minutes from Yokohama and an hour from central Tokyo. Learn about the world, taking advantage of small class sizes and individualized attention, before hopping a train to discover the cultural diversity of modern Japan for yourself. Enjoy the energy of ultramodern Tokyo, the historical refinement of Yokohama, the traditional culture of Kamakura that is the birthplace of the samurai era (its place is next to us), and come back to the warm and pleasant atmosphere of our campus family. There are two courses from a sophomore. You can choose Hospitality Management Course or International Studies Course. In Hospitality Management Course, you can learn the world, improve a global field of vision and wear real hospitality. In International Studies Course, you can learn International Business, International Relations and Japanese Studies etc. A lot of classes to perform in English are prepared. Even if you have no confidence to use Japanese, you can graduate.
What’s New!A double degree is now possible through an academic partnership with BHMS in Switzerland
Tama University, School of Global Studies (SGS) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) in Lucerne, Switzerland. This partnership allows for a double degree system in which SGS students can simultaneously earn a degree offered by BHMS. If you meet certain conditions, you can study for three years at SGS and one year at BHMS and earn a BA degree from both higher education institutions.
