Welcome to Tama University School of Global Studies (SGS)!

scenic Kanagawa area,
just one hour from central Tokyo, our campus offers an ideal learning environment surrounded by nature. As an

Studying Japanese
Japanese language classes are offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Thanks to small class
sizes, each student receives attentive and personalized support.
Beginner level: Students
acquire basic conversational skills necessary for daily life in Japan.
Intermediate level:
Building on their foundational skills, students learn more complex sentence patterns and expressions while
continuing their study of kanji.
Advanced level: Using authentic materials such as
newspapers,
magazines, and online articles, students develop the ability to express their own ideas and opinions on
current events and cultural topics.
Content Courses
At SGS, content courses focus on global studies.
Students can choose from a wide range of
classes offered in both Japanese and English, covering areas such as language and culture, hospitality
management, global issues and international studies, psychology, anthropology, and more. For details on
